What Role Does Academic Counseling Play at UMMC
The Office of Academic Counseling for the University of Mississippi Medical Center serves to provide assistance which enables students to develop relevant skills and behaviors essential to academic success and personal growth.
We are available to currently enrolled UMMC students, residents and fellows who have concerns about academic issues and related matters.
Academic counseling services are provided at no charge to any enrolled UMMC student, resident or fellow.
As a student at UMMC, you are required to master a large body of knowledge and clinical skills. Balancing these professional education demands with the everyday realities of your personal life can be difficult at times. The Academic Counseling Services staff is committed to the success of students by providing direct and referral assistance with a wide range of issues including:
